Enrolment - Auraki/Rumaki

27th  May 2020

Kia ora e te Whanau

Alert level 2

More than 61% of the kura  are now back in class and we are expecting the majority of our students  back over the coming week.  I would like to thank and compliment all staff both teaching and support staff for the fantastic work they have done over the past week .  Our kura opened seamlessly last week and this is largely due to all the work occuring behind the scenes to ensure as children walked in the gate it would feel like the kura they know and love.

I would also like to thank you as parents / caregivers for the support and cooperation you have shown through level 2.  We have appreciated you ringing first and making appointments with Whaea Tesh in the office and teachers before coming in.   We have always been a great team and I think Covid 19 has made us  even more close and tight as a community.

Nga mihi

Rumaki/Auraki Enrolment Notice

Kia Ora Parents, Caregivers and Whanau

Whangamarino School offers an excellent education for both Rumaki and Auraki students.  The school attracts students from all over Rotorua.

Enrolments will be managed on numbers of tamariki in Auraki and Rumaki across the school and if needed discussion will take place with the Principal and parents or caregivers. This is to ensure numbers are manageable for our kaiako.

We offer Te Reo Maori programmes throughout the whole school. Rumaki is 81% - 100% Te Reo Maori and Auraki is 31% - 50% Te Reo Maori.

Nau mai haere mai koutou, remarkable things happen every day here at Whangamarino.

Nga mihi
